Launched in 2015 by Buket Ulukut as a rural development initiative, Tangala Cheeses is much more than a cheese brand. We are an artisanal flavor story rooted in the rich soil of Anatolia and inspired by the ancient cheese traditions of Europe, the Caucasus and the Middle East. Our aim is to preserve the vanishing local cheesemaking heritage while combining it with a universal palate to offer an unforgettable experience with every slice. This journey is the story of how milk, nourished by the fertility of the soil, is transformed into unique cheeses with mastery and passion.

We see production as an art and blend traditional recipes with the most modern technological means. Inspired by production models developed in Europe in the 1960s that combine cheese culture with science, we put each of our products through a rigorous research and development process. Our cheeses, which we produce from local milk using completely natural methods without any additives, carry both cultural richness and high nutritional value. Thanks to this innovative approach, we create unique tastes by combining the authentic flavor of tradition with the expectations of the modern world.

The world of Tangala offers a wide range of products, from traditional breakfast flavors to sophisticated gourmet delicacies. Hard cheeses such as Pelit and Tlos, which we patiently mature in our special cellars, white moldy delicacies such as Amber and Mera, which gain elegance with P. Candidium culture, and blue moldy gourmet cheeses such as Tangazola and Kastabara, which come to life with a touch of P. Roqueforti, are just a few examples of this richness. We also offer lactose-free and probiotic fermented varieties that are easy to digest, healthy and without compromising on flavor, not forgetting lactose intolerant cheese lovers.
